Things That Have Me in a Chokehold Right Now

One of my favorite parts of my style evolving postpartum has been discovering the little things that completely change an outfit for me.

Head Scarves

Playing around with protective styles has made head scarves a fun, out-of-the-box accessory I’ve been adding into my outfits lately. They add so much personality to a look while still feeling effortless. Bad hair days are no longer a factor…plus they just look cute. ☺️

Corsets/Cinched Waists

If I haven’t said it enough already, exploring silhouettes has become one of my favorite parts of evolving my style. Whether it’s dresses, tops or oversized pants; I love a good cinched waist moment. I have more of a rectangle body shape, and learning what silhouettes actually work for my body has done wonders for my confidence.

Mesh Flats

A little questionable at first? Absolutely 😭 But I get it now. We know toes are outside in the summer but when an open-toe shoe doesn’t work with the outfit, mesh flats are such a good alternative. You still get the vibe while showing off the pedicure.

The quickest way to make your style feel more like you and less like everybody else’s is usually in the little details. A head scarf, a cinched waist, a different shoe… small things, but they’ve made getting dressed feel fun and expressive again. I love thrifting and finding random little pieces that elevate my outfits and give them more personality. I’m still figuring my style out in real time but leaning into the details that make me feel confident has completely changed how I show up lately.
