I’m no newbie to packing the essentials for a carry-on bag. (hint hint: mom life)
Not having everything I need in my gym bag after heading to the gym can be a top 5 reason to return home. To ensure I’m always prepared for any situation at the gym, I always make sure my gym bag is packed, locked, and loaded at all times. My personal life hack is leaving it in my car so I don’t make the mistake of leaving it at home…ever. Gym is life. Below is a list of everything I include in my gym bag to make every workout session even better and more efficient. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. I enjoy lifting weights and practicing progressive overload. These accessories help make that easier.
STRENGTH TRAINING
- These workout gloves are my favorite because they grip exceptionally well and prevent callouses. Me and Man Hands are not a good match. I use them daily so unfortunately the velcro does wear out over time. I have repurchased them twice.
- Sometimes I do band workouts and these resistance bands are amazing. Most of the time the materials that resistance bands are made out of are cheap and pop easily. These bands are non-slip, come in a cute bag, and are made of thick, durable fabric that doesn’t slide easily.
- Uppper is my absolute favorite for gym accessories. I love them so much, that I own several items of their gear which include the barbell pad, ankle straps, lifting straps, and lifting belt.
HYDRATION AND NUTRITION
- You won’t catch me hobbling around the gym with dozens of items in my hand while I have this water jug. Doubling as storage and a half-gallon water jug; this bottle holds your phone, keys, and cards while working out. One of my favorite additions is the shoulder strap.
- AM workouts are my favorite and sometimes I need a little assistance but this pre-workout gives me the pick me up that I need. Infused with healthy ingredients, no sugar, and no jittery itchy feeling afterward.
- If pre-workout isn’t enough, there’s nothing a Rice Krispy Treat can’t do; I always keep a few of these on hand.
GYM BAG AND STORAGE
- The most important attribute I needed for my gym bag is the ability to fit my barbell pad. I use this Nike Women’s Training Duffel Bag that is no longer available.
- Inside of my gym bag, I have this toiletry bag where I keep extra undergarments, feminine products, deodorant, gum, chapstick, lip gloss, lotion, wipes and perfume.
Having a well-packed gym bag can make all the difference in having a successful, high performing workout session.
